Story :- ‘Waqt Ne Kiya Kya Haseen Sitam’ is a timeless love story set in 1940’s. This show is a period drama set in Ludhiana of pre-divided Punjab.

The drama revolves around the bittersweet love story about Bano and Hasan. Bano comes from a close-knit Muslim family living in Ludhiana in undivided India. The story follows Bano and her fiancé, Hassan, as they face the trials and tribulations caused by the events beyond their control. It is a story of love, dreams, longing and a tussle between hope and reality.

Hassan is a well-educated, level-headed and loyal young man with strong affiliation towards politics. His strong passion for politics attracts him followers who believe in his ideology. Hassan is brave and confident.

Bano is a highly cultured woman with staunch faith in her ideologies. Bano starts of as a mischievous and feisty young woman who is also family-oriented in her ways. With the guidance of her lover Hassan, she propagates her ideologies to her fellow people but then goes through several changes within herself due to the atrocities she experiences through the riots. The tragedy she faces turns her into a strong and hardened woman with one sole purpose in life – creating a bright future and cleansing it of all evils.

Saleem is aggressive in his ways when it comes to implementing ideologies. He easily gets triggered into using violence when anyone opposes his thinking. He loves and is protective towards his family but at the same time, he wants them to live by his ways and be answerable towards him. At the end of the day, Saleem is someone who is willing to put his life on the line for the things he thinks is most important – his cause and his family.

Rabiya is a young and pretty lady with an aesthetic eye, who has grown up in a rich household. Despite that she is down to earth, gentle and loving. Rabiya is someone who always puts others before herself. She is very forgiving, selfless and empathy towards people’s problem. She is hence lends her support to Bano and even helps Bano bounce back on her feet.
