A sled hound battles for endurance in the wilds of the Yukon. The films mislead on the human side, starring white men in an era when most North American mushers were indigenous. The moment you learn that Harrison is doing the Call of the Wild movie with another hairy best friend.
For all the wholesome cheesiness of much of the film, you’d have to have a pretty hard heart not to be touched by it. Can never really appreciate the natural world with an unnaturally cartoonish dog at its forefront.

It’s not The Jungle Book, but the character animation on Buck the dog is amazing, the CGI landscapes less so.
